Taking care of your mind is equally as important as taking care of your body.
As part of Thrive NYC, NYC’s mental health initiative, Mayor Bill de Blasio's office is offering free Mental Health First Aid trainings to all New Yorkers. Mental Health First Aid is a 9-5 PM course conducted to accommodate community members and their schedules. The course teaches 25-35 people at a time how to identify signs and symptoms of mental illness. Participants will also learn how to eliminate stigma around mental illness and help their friends and family members in need.
Together we can reach NYC's goal of training 250,000 New Yorkers in Mental Health First Aid so that they can better help friends, family members or co-workers to stay healthy.
